Miyagi Olle began in October 2018 with the opening of the Kesennuma/ Karakuwa Trail Course with its majestic views of the Pacific Ocean, and the Oku-Matsushima Trail Course over- looking Matsushima, one of three most scenic spots in Japan. In September 2019, the Osaki/ Naruko Hot Spring Trail Course opened offering soothing hot springs, and in March 2020 the Tome Trail Course launched,
where visitors can experience the great nature of the Satoyama, the history and culture of the region.Come and experience the diverse charms of Miyagi Prefecture.
From the dynamic ria coast to the scenery of the Sanriku Geopark, and seasonal flora, there is much to enjoy.
This landscape with water as calm as a lake, and dotted by countless islands, is so beautiful it seems like a painting.
This trail will take you along the deep gorges formed by the erosion of the Oyagawa River and small paths where the Oku no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to the Interior) lies. Along the way, you can enjoy the hot springs which this area is famous for, including hand and foot baths.
